Eve’ Grace Scholastic Innovation
Our Story! An important one bringing us to a captivating time as this. We were made “for such a time as this” We at times reflect on the past and the struggles and great triumph. We all have stories, that’s what brought us here. Each of us special, a written manuscript in human form. Yet, we must answer one question..
“what impact and purpose in our stories are we leaving on earth for the next person’’?
PARTNERNSHIP WITH
CHANGE AGENT NETWORK
and YOUNGLIFE LIBERIA
Held its first Self-Sponsor Outreach Camp in the City of Gbarnga and on the Campus’ of the Change Agent Network Leadership Academy (CAN-LA), Bong County, Liberia. The total number of participants that attended the event was 201 high school-going and local communities’ kids from Gbarnga, Palala, Suakoko, and Totota in Bong County, and also from The Heart of Grace CAN-LA Montserrado County, Monrovia. The purpose of the camp was to build a deeper relationship with kids and allow them to experience and listen to what we believe is the greatest love story. Also, as part of Younglife’s efforts to genuinely build kids’ capacity so that they can meaningfully contribute to the greater society, our newly collaborating partners, Eve’s Grace Scholastic Initiative (EGSI) and the Change Agent Network (CAN) added another vital components to this year’s outreach camp activities with an essay writing competition amongst the students of both the Heart of Grace CAN-LA Monrovia and CAN-LA Gbarnga and a Mentorship Training Program. Historically, Young Life Africa-West has relied on overseas donors to carry out its mission in Liberia. Recognizing the need for sustainability, our team embraced a bold new vision: Liberians sponsoring Liberian youth. Through prayer and partnership, that vision became a reality. For the first time ever, a fully self-sponsored camp was organized and executed in Liberia—a monumental achievement made possible by EGSI and CAN, who provided financial support, moral encouragement, and logistical facilities. To God be the glory
